"In love, there is always a bit of madness, but in madness, there is always a bit of sense."

Flip, Prince Philip, Flipper, Hippie. A beloved child has many names. I really had to think about where to start with all the storytelling. I brought Flip over from Germany, from Josefine Jungelt, in May '24. I had just returned from picking up my other co-own female Nuppu in Slovenia, during which I ended up spending a week in a Slovenian hospital due to blood poisoning and a kidney infection. Initially, we had considered some home options for Flip, and he was definitely supposed to go into a co-own home. I really didn't have the energy for a puppy, but after a lot of twists and turns, Flip ended up staying with us, somewhat unintentionally.

That should suffice as background. Flip is an extremely greedy, active, physical, lively, and even a bit cheeky young male. As I write this, he is 9 months old. Mr. F doesn't take much to heart, although he seems surprisingly humble at times now compared to his puppy days, when he was incredibly naughty. This black rocket doesn't care about fences, noises, or surfaces, and calms down astonishingly well in busy places. Flip is cooperative and will happily train with even a complete stranger. So far, I have really enjoyed Flip's qualities. He is outwardly composed, but there's a huge engine working inside him. Flip is completely lacking in reactivity and sharpness, which I do miss a bit in my hobbies. He's not the fastest or the most dynamic, but he performs tasks willingly and eagerly. In everyday life, this is actually a very nice, or should I say easy, trait. Flip is social, though a bit stiff at first. He warms up slowly, like all my dogs so far. He lives well within the pack and has blended in easily. Flip is a very physical dog. In activities, the best reward is a large tug toy, which he enjoys ripping apart with the handler, one-on-one. He's a cheerful and relaxed worker, and distractions have never interested him so far. When we're working, we focus on work. A real hard worker!

Flip is a confident and steady dog, and I must say, I've never regretted for a single day that he ended up staying with us, even if it was a bit by accident!
